Irumbuzhi the simple typical Village

Irumbuzhi is one of the beautiful & simple villages in Kerala. Small mountains and a plenty of small Greenish hills in three sides and Kadalundi River in the other side surround it.

               

	Peacock, rabbits and Monkeys still living very rarely in the remote area, far away from village. But it was numerous in our childhood days. They may felt very comfortable with mankind in those days

 

Numerous animals and birds are living freely & fearlessly in the banks of river and wide Wally of hills.

                                                         

 

 

 

 

 

Irumbuzhi got the name from the Malayalam word Irimb + uzhi (Iron+soil) our soil contain the ore of Iron since long time. Many industrialists came to exploit the content of iron ore from our village, but we strongly oppose the venture. Because we know that the presence of a factory will spoil the beauty of landscape and our peace of mind. Our willpower also strong like iron, up to now we are maintaining the nature as it is.

 

 

This Peaceful village gave birth to a lot of writers like Musafir, Usman Irumbuzhi, V.V.Basheer, Koothradan A.kutty, C.P. Irumbuzhi, Kumukuma and the list going on……….
